| What relationship does the Crisis Team have with the hospital emergency department? |
There is a close working relationship with all the hospital Emergency Departments in our service areas. The local Crisis Teams develop specific relationships with each hospital to ensure a prompt and professional response to individuals in a mental health crisis. |
| I need to go to hospital but am afraid to go alone. Can someone come and take me and wait with me? |
This is the function of a family member, friend, or acquaintance. The Crisis Team can assist in this process by alerting the hospital Emergency Department to the arrival of the individual and pass on needed information that will enhance the assessment process. |
